Regulations on the Completion of Independent Supervised Study
The Independent Supervised Study is a research project that allows students of the Master’s Program (M.Sc.) in Human Performance to systematically explore a scientific topic relevant to their specialization.
📌 Format & Structure of the Study
📌 The Independent Supervised Study can take one of the following forms:
✅ Experimental, based on data collection and analysis.
✅ Review-based, focusing on the systematic analysis and evaluation of existing scientific literature.
📌 Study Length:
- The study must be at least 6,000 words, excluding references.
- The study topic must be aligned with the scientific fields of the student’s specialization.
📌 Declaration & Completion Process
📌 Step 1: Declaration at the Secretariat
- The student must declare the Independent Study as a course at the M.Sc. Secretariat.
- The study is conducted within the framework of the master’s program’s educational process.
📌 Step 2: Assignment of a Supervising Professor
- The supervisor must be a faculty member of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) in Thessaloniki and belong to one of the following categories:
✅ Faculty Member (DEP – Teaching & Research Staff)
✅ Special Teaching Staff (EEP)
✅ Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP)
📌 Step 3: Establishing Collaboration with the Supervisor
- The student conducts the study in collaboration with the supervising professor, following the guidelines set by the Master’s Program Regulations.
- The study must adhere to scientific methodology and include a systematic review or analysis of research data.
