The duration of studies at the postgraduate program “Human Performance” is prescribed in three semesters of full studies, which also include the time for preparing and evaluating the postgraduate diploma thesis. The maximum time allowed to complete the studies is set at six semesters.
For employed graduate students, in accordance with paragraph 2 of article 33 of Law 4485/2017 (114 A), the possibility of part-time study is provided, the duration of which cannot exceed twice the normal duration of studies. Part-time study is also provided for non-working postgraduate students who are unable to meet the minimum requirements of the full-time program and for reasons of force majeure, for which the CO decides.
Postgraduate students may also be granted, upon submission of a relevant application, suspension of studies, which cannot exceed two semesters. During the suspension, the graduate student loses his/her student status. The time of the suspension is not counted towards the maximum duration of regular studies.
It is possible, and only in exceptional cases, to grant an extension of studies up to one year, following a reasoned decision of the CO.
Regarding the review of courses in due courses or deletion, the CO decides on the conditions of the review and the reasons for deletion, which are included in the relevant Postgraduate Studies Regulation. If the postgraduate student fails the examination of a course or courses, he/she is examined after his/her application by a three-member committee of faculty members of the Department, who have the same or related subject as the subject being examined and are appointed by the CO. The person in charge of the examination is excluded from the committee.
Postgraduate students have all the rights, benefits and facilities provided for first cycle students, except for the right to provide free textbooks. The Department must ensure facilities for graduate students with disabilities or special educational needs that are defined in the relevant Graduate Studies Regulations.
