Exercise for Prevention and Rehabilitation

In this direction, the postgraduate students investigate issues related to the role and importance of exercise in improving health, they understand the particularities of health-related behavior and they specialize in designing specialized exercise programs for health, depending on the individual needs and specificities of each population category. In addition, they gain knowledge about nutritional principles and factors of physical activity participation for many population groups. This direction’s graduates acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable them to staff public and private sectors in order to organize and evaluate recreational sports and exercise programs for people with chronic diseases.

The postgraduate program leads to the acquisition of a Postgraduate Diploma and it is organized on the basis of the credit transfer and accumulation system (provided by art. 14 Law 3374/2005). The workload for each full-time graduate student is valued at 30 credits per semester and 60 credits over the course of an academic year. To obtain the Postgraduate Diploma, the student must accumulate a total of 90 credits in three semesters. The CO is responsible for assigning the workload per course.

The aim of the postgraduate program "Human Performance" is to advance knowledge, develop research and train high-level scientists capable of contributing to theoretical and diverse areas in the known fields of maximizing athletic performance and exercise for prevention and restoration.
