- Maximizing athletic performance
In this direction, postgraduate students investigate issues related to coaching. Coaching guidance, laboratory and field research, development of training programs, principles of nutrition in sports, methods and techniques to improve coach effectiveness, methods of psychological support for athletes, injuries in sports, principles of exercise physiology and biomechanics are included in the subjects and scientific areas of this direction. Upon completion of the curriculum, graduates will have a clear understanding of coaching and the elements required to coach high-level teams and athletes. The job opportunities for this direction’s graduates can be found across the age and exercise spectrum, competitive and recreational sports included. - Exercise for prevention and rehabilitation
In this direction, the postgraduate students investigate issues related to the role and importance of exercise in improving health, they understand the particularities of health-related behavior and they specialize in designing specialized exercise programs for health, depending on the individual needs and specificities of each population category. In addition, they gain knowledge about nutritional principles and factors of physical activity participation for many population groups. This direction’s graduates acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable them to staff public and private sectors in order to organize and evaluate recreational sports and exercise programs for people with chronic diseases.
