Administration

Competent Bodies for the administration, organization and operation of the Master's Program are:

I. The Senate of the Foundation. It is the competent body for matters of academic, administrative, organizational and financial nature of “Human Performance” and exercises all powers related to the postgraduate program that are not assigned by specific laws to other bodies.

II. The Postgraduate Studies Committee. It consists of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, who acts as President, as well as one (1) member of the Teaching Research Staff from each School of the University, and one (1) member from the categories of members of the Special Educational Staff, Laboratory Teaching Staff and Special Technical Laboratory Staff of the A.U.Th. Committee members have experience in organizing and participating in second cycle programs. The term of the Committee is two (2) academic years.

III. The General Assembly of the Department, which recommends, following the opinion of the Postgraduate Studies Committee, to the Senate of AUTH the establishment of a new or modification of already existing Master’s Program, together with the Regulation of its Operation, as well as its abolition offered by the Department.  

IV. The Coordinating Committee (CO). It consists of the Director and four more faculty members of the Department, who have undertaken postgraduate work and are elected by the Department Assembly for a two-year term. It is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the operation of the postgraduate program “Human Performance”.

IV. The Director of the postgraduate program “Human Performance” is a member of the Teaching Research Staff, either a Professor or Associate Professor and is appointed together with his deputy by decision of the Department Assembly for a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal without limitation.

The aim of the postgraduate program "Human Performance" is to advance knowledge, develop research and train high-level scientists capable of contributing to theoretical and diverse areas in the known fields of maximizing athletic performance and exercise for prevention and restoration.
