Aim

The aim of the postgraduate program is the specialized education, research and training of high-level scientists able to contribute to theoretical and applied areas in the fields of knowledge of sports performance maximization and exercise for prevention and rehabilitation. Individual purposes of the postgraduate program are:

  1. Research and cooperation between the University Departments of Greece through academic activities of common interest (e.g. interdepartmental research programs, joint curriculums, etc),
  2. Research and cooperation between the University Departments of the country and corresponding Departments abroad (e.g. trans-European research programs, research, postgraduate student exchanges, teacher exchanges, etc),
  3. Cooperation with productive, social and research institutions, both in Greece and abroad, and connection of academic knowledge and theory with practice and labor market,
  4. Research through the laboratories of the Department of Physical Education AUTH,
  5. Participation of students in research activities and programs,
  6. Provision of high-quality knowledge and skills for the effective training of scientific and research personnel,
  7. Production of qualified executives in cognitive directions that are not offered in another Greek Department of Physical Education, and
  8. Creation of an infrastructure for the continuous renewal and promotion of specialized scientific knowledge.

The aim of the postgraduate program "Human Performance" is to advance knowledge, develop research and train high-level scientists capable of contributing to theoretical and diverse areas in the known fields of maximizing athletic performance and exercise for prevention and restoration.
